The Amazing Power of the Namaskar Mahamantra

Children! Among all the mantras in this world, if there is one that is the most powerful and miraculous, it is the Namaskar Mahamantra.

We are 'Jains', but that does not mean we consider the Navkar mantra as the supreme one. In fact, modern scientists have conducted extensive experiments and research, and have proven the Navkar mantra to be the greatest. This fact has also been recognized at the Parliament of the World's Religions in America.

What are the benefits of the Navkar mantra in our scriptures? Know that as well, and then start chanting the Navkar mantra every day.

“त्रिशुद्धा चिन्तयंस्तस्य, शतमष्टोत्तरं मुनिः। भुञ्जानोऽपि लभेतैव, चतुर्थतपसः फलम्॥”

A sadhu who chants the Namaskar Mahamantra 108 times with concentration of mind, speech, and body, receives the benefits of fasting even while eating.

“जो पुण सम्मं गणिउं, नरो नमुक्‍कार-लक्खमखंडं। पूएइ जिणं संघं, बंधइ तित्थयरनामं सो॥” (श्राद्ददिनकृत्य)

A person who worships the parmatma and the Sangh while chanting one lakh Navkar mantras, binds Tirthankar Naamkarma.

“अमुं मन्त्रं समाराध्य, तियञ्चोऽपि दिवं गता॥” (योगशास्त्र)

By chanting the Namaskar Mahamantra, even animals and birds have attained the heavenly realms (devlok).

“नव लाख जपंता नरक निवारे, पामे भवनो पार। सो भवियां भत्ते चोख्खे चित्ते, नित्य जपीयें नवकार॥”
